We come TOGETHER to keep our mission strong. In the last nine months we have come TOGETHER, often, and in meaningful and new ways. We have opened school safely, 5 day in-person school. A seemingly impossible task in June. The commitment of our school leaders, staff, families and students made it possible. TOGETHER, we’ve learned so much!
On GIVING TUESDAY we want to come TOGETHER to focus on the added costs and responsibilities of this COVID-19 pandemic year.
- “Who knows how much good goes undone because we failed to educate one child.” That was the challenge issued by the late Fr. Arch Thomas, long-time Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Toledo. We have lived up to that challenge for decades. We commit to ensure all children, no matter financial circumstances, who want a Catholic education, receive one. Help us come TOGETHER and embrace our families whose paychecks have been impacted by COVID to ensure their child’s Catholic continued education at NCS.
- Educating our students in smaller pods has required a commitment to additional staff, as well as more substitute teachers for the challenging cycle of quarantined staff. Additional time and effort has been required by our maintenance and cleaning staff to meet the demands of all our new cleaning and sanitizing protocols. Your gift can help us cover these essential added costs for overtime and additional personnel.
- Our teachers have come TOGETHER, helping one another to learn and implement new technology. Their expertise has grown using Google Classroom and the wonderful gift of 1:1 Chromebooks, plus a rotating list of students learning remotely at home. We have identified a need at the Early Childhood Center to give our little ones a better classroom experience and make learning from home easier. Your gift will provide needed funds to upgrade the infrastructure to increase our internet speed at the ECC.
