Position: Jr. High/High School Principal

Job ID: 101

Job Objective: Serves as the school’s head administrator, instructional and faith leader.

General Summary: To provide educational leadership on the local level to enable the school to realize the threefold purpose of Catholic Education: to teach the message revealed by God which the Church proclaims, to build community in the life of the Holy Spirit, and to serve the human community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Holds and maintains required state department of education credentials
  • Must successfully pass the required background check and all requirements of the Toledo Diocese VIRTUS program prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment
  • Master of Education Degree in Administration or a related field required, with a minimum of 5 years as a Teacher preferred
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance Norwalk Catholic School goals and objectives through program improvements based on evaluated data and evidence-based best practices
  • Analyzes, organizes and presents complex information in an easy-to-understand format
  • Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks
  • Embodies high ethical standards/integrity; accepts responsibility for personal decisions/conduct
  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church

Teaching OPPORTUNITIES 


Position: Spanish Teacher

Job ID: 201

Job Objective: Serves as the primary Spanish Teacher for St. Paul High School with a possibility of some Jr. High classes.

General Summary: To teach Spanish and to model model the Catholic faith in a way that realizes the threefold purpose of Catholic Education: to teach the message revealed by God which the Church proclaims, to build community in the life of the Holy Spirit, and to serve the human community.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Practicing Catholic Preferred: Help carry on the mission of Christ’s church.
  • Hold a current Ohio Department of Education license/certification
  • Must successfully pass the required background check and all requirements of the Toledo Diocese VIRTUS program prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment
  • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the desired teaching area
  • Maintain excellent classroom behavior management
  • Provide lesson plans weekly to building administrator
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Provide exemplary communication skills to parents, staff, and stakeholders
  • Work well with fellow staff members in a professional learning community to ensure what is best for our students
  • Build positive, productive, professional, relationships with students
  • Have an understanding of technology pertinent to the classroom including Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Smart Technologies, PowerSchool, and document cameras
